Begleitung zum tabakfreien Krankenhaus

Krankenhäuser und Reha-Einrichtungen werden von VIVID - Fachstelle für Suchtprävention bei der Zertifizierung zur „Tabakfreien Gesundheitseinrichtung“ begleitet. Ärztinnen und Ärzte sowie Pflegekräfte erfahren, wie sie Patient*innen zum Nikotin-Stopp motivieren können.

ANFRAGEN

Zertifizierung in Bronze, Silber und Gold

Die Zertifizierung findet nach internationalen Vorgaben zu „Smokefree Hospitals“ statt und kann in drei Stufen erfolgen: Bronze, Silber und Gold. Diese Stufen stehen für die Intensität des Engagements. Bei jedem Level müssen bei einer Zertifizierung die Kommunikation mit dem Personal und den Patient*innen, die Definition von Rauchzonen und die Schulung von Mitarbeiter*innen in „Kurzintervention“ stattfinden.

Folgende Fragen werden im Vorfeld geklärt:

  • Wie groß ist das Krankenhaus bzw. die Reha-Einrichtung ?
  • Hat es ein oder mehrere Gebäude, inhaltlich eine Spezialisierung oder eine allgemeine Ausrichtung?
  • Wurde das Thema Rauchen bereits thematisiert?
  • Wie steht die Führung zu diesem Engagement?
  • Wie ist dazu die Stimmung unter den Kolleg*innen?
  • Gibt es bereits Regeln zum Umgang mit Tabak und Nikotin?

Bewerbung und Zertifizierung zur „Tabakfreien Gesundheitseinrichtung“ laufen in Österreich über das Netzwerk ONGKG. Wir begleiten Sie dabei fachlich.

Rufen Sie uns an – ob Sie ganz am Anfang stehen oder bereits viel getan und einen konkreten Plan für weitere Aktivitäten haben, ist dabei zweitrangig. Trauen Sie sich, das Thema Tabak und Nikotin in Ihrem Krankenhaus oder Ihrer Reha-Anstalt anzugehen. Wir helfen Ihnen dabei. Auch die Begleitung durch uns bei Re-Zertifizierungen von Krankenanstalten in der Steiermark ist möglich.

Dabei gehen wir auf individuelle Bedingungen in ihrem Haus ein. Die Begleitung  bezieht sich vor allem auf die Schulung des Personals in Kurzintervention.  Darüber hinaus können unter bestimmten Bedingungen auch Unterstützung in der internen Kommunikation zum Thema Tabak und Nikotin und die Beratung bei Rauchzonen  vereinbart werden.

Kurzintervention für Ihre Patient*innen

Was nun ist „Kurzintervention“? Dabei lernt ärztliches und pflegendes Personal, wie man im Klinikalltag mit kurzen Sätzen praxistauglich Patient*innen ansprechen kann, die  rauchen oder andere Nikotinprodukte konsumieren. Diese sogenannte „Motivierende Ansprache zum Nikotin-Stopp“ kann als kurze Intervention vor allem im Setting einer Gesundheitseinrichtung viel bewirken.

Wir zeigen ihnen, wie die Kurzintervention gut und praxistauglich umgesetzt werden kann. Dabei achten wir darauf, dass die Weiterbildung speziell auf die Bedürfnisse Ihres Hauses und insbesondere auf die vertretenen Fachrichtungen abgestimmt ist.

Die Begleitung von VIVID – Fachstelle für Suchtprävention ist im Rahmen der Tabakpräventionsstrategie Steiermark kostenlos.
