Die Österreichische Dialogwoche Alkohol weist auf die Risiken von Alkoholkonsum hin. Sie regt dazu an, über das eigene Trinken von Alkohol nachzudenken und zeigt Vorteile von Konsum-Reduktion auf. Ziel ist ein bewusster und verantwortungsvoller Umgang mit Alkohol. Die Dialogwoche Alkohol findet alle zwei Jahre für eine Woche statt.

Weniger Alkohol- mehr vom Leben

Die meisten Österreicher*innen wissen wenig über konkrete Wirkung und gesundheitsschädigende Mengen von Alkohol, wie verschiedene Erhebungen belegen. Der Weg vom Genuss über die Gewohnheit hin zum Problem der Sucht ist kürzer als viele glauben.

In Österreich wird keine andere Substanz so augenzwinkernd akzeptiert wie Alkohol und übermäßiger Alkoholkonsum meist verharmlost. Alkoholabhängigkeit ist hingegen immer noch ein Tabuthema – obwohl rund 370.000 Menschen in Österreich als alkoholkrank gelten. Das wollen wir ändern!

Die Österreichische Dialogwoche Alkohol ist eine Initiative der Österreichischen ARGE Suchtvorbeugung und wird auch 2025 wieder in Kooperation mit dem Dachverband der Sozialversicherungsträger und der Gesundheit Österreich GmbH/Geschäftsbereich Fonds Gesundes Österreich durchgeführt und  vom Bundesministerium für Soziales, Gesundheit, Pflege und Konsumentenschutz gefördert. In der Steiermark wird die Dialogwoche von VIVID – Fachstelle für Suchtprävention organisiert.

Die Dialogwoche Alkohol macht verantwortungsvollen Alkoholkonsum österreichweit zum Thema. Unter dem Motto „Weniger Alkohol- mehr vom Leben“ wird eine Woche lang in zahlreichen Veranstaltungen sachlich und offen über Alkohol gesprochen und über seine Wirkung und Risiken informiert – ohne zu moralisieren oder zu verurteilen.

Die Österreichische Dialogwoche Alkohol findet seit 2017 im Zwei-Jahres-Rhythmus statt. der Termin für die nächste Dialogwoche ist bereits fixiert:
