Wie alles begann und was seither passiert ist

Seit der Gründung der Fachstelle im Jahr 1996 konnten wir einige Meilensteine in der Suchtvorbeugung setzen. Begeben Sie sich mit uns auf eine Reise von der Idee bis hin zu internationalen Auszeichnungen.

UNSERE GESCHICHTE

1997 – Eröffnung der Fachstelle

VIVID – Fachstelle für Suchtprävention wird offiziell eröffnet! Die Schwerpunkte liegen auf Schulprojekten und außerschulischer Jugendarbeit.

1998 – Suchtprävention im Kindesalter

Das Angebot von VIVID wird mit Suchtprävention im Kindesalter um einen weiteren Schwerpunkt erweitert – mit dem Ziel, bereits in frühen Jahren einer Suchtentwicklung entgegenwirken zu können.

1999 – Eröffnung von Regionalbüros

VIVID eröffnet insgesamt sechs Regionalbüros (Oststeiermark, Graz-Umgebung, Oberes Murtal, Südweststeiermark, Ennstal und Mürztal). Der Fokus liegt auf Gemeindeprojekten zur Suchtvorbeugung.

1999 – „High genug?“

Unter dem Titel „High genug?“ wird für die offene Jugendarbeit ein spezielles Methodenset entwickelt, das zahlreiche Informationen, Ideen, Tipps und Beispiele rund um das Thema Suchtvorbeugung enthält.

2002 – „Jeder Schluck zu seiner Zeit“

Die erste Initiative zum Thema Alkohol in der Steiermark fokussiert unter dem Motto „Jeder Schluck zu seiner Zeit“ vor allem auf Punktnüchternheit (z. B.  im Straßenverkehr).

2002 – "Eigenständig werden"

Die ersten Programme zur Lebenskompetenzförderung
in der Volksschule starten. Auf „Eigenständig werden“ folgt „Gemeinsam stark werden“.

2003 – „Step by Step“

Grazer Schulen werden dabei begleitet, im Sinne der Frühintervention nach § 13 des Suchtmittelgesetzes Handlungsmodelle zum Umgang mit Drogenanlassfällen zu entwickeln.

2005 – „Motivational Interviewing“

Die ersten dreitägigen „movin‘“-Schulungen werden angeboten. „Motivational Interviewing“ ist eine Gesprächstechnik zum Umgang mit riskant konsumierenden Jugendlichen.

2006 – „ENCARE“

Die ersten Angebote für Kinder aus suchtbelasteten Familien – Schulungen für Multiplikator*innen gemeinsam mit der Drogenberatung des Landes – starten. Kindergruppen folgen.

2007 – „Fest im Griff“

Zur Förderung einer jugendschutzfreundlichen Festkultur arbeitet VIVID bei „Wir können auch anders“ mit und entwickelt mit „Fest im Griff“ ein Angebot für kleinere Veranstaltungen (u.a. mit Shakebox und Ampelarmbändern zur Alterskontrolle).

2007 – Tabakpräventionsstrategie Steiermark

VIVID wird als Koordinationsstelle mit der Umsetzung der Tabakpräventionsstrategie für das Bundesland Steiermark beauftragt.

2008 – Neuer Standort für Fachstelle

Die Fachstelle bekommt einen neuen Standort. VIVID zieht ins Haus der Gesundheit in der Zimmerplatzgasse 13 in Graz.

2008 – Präventionsprogramm „plus“

Das österreichweite Programm zur Lebenskompetenzförderung in der Sekundarstufe startet. Es bietet Lehrer*innen und Schüler*innen umfassendes Hintergrundwissen zu Sucht und Prävention.

2011 – Lehrgangsstart Suchtvorbeugung

Der erste Lehrgang „Suchtvorbeugung in Jugendausbildung und -beschäftigung“ zur Förderderung eines konstruktiven Umgangs mit konsumierenden und suchtgefährdeten Jugendlichen startet.

2012 – Fokus Glücksspiel

Mit einer österreichweiten Studie, einer Gesetzesnovelle, Schulungen für Glücksspielanbieter und Angeboten für Jugendliche wird im Bereich Glücksspiel ein Schwerpunkt gesetzt.

2014 – Gesunde Schule Tabak

Die Schule ist ein wichtiger Ort für Tabakprävention bei Jugendlichen. Die „Gesunde Schule Tabak“ vermittelt Schüler*innen, Lehrer*innen und Eltern einen kompetenten Umgang mit dem Thema.

2015 – Risflecting

Der Ansatz des Risflecting, sprich Risikokompetenz, wird in die Angebote integriert.

2017 – Dialogwoche Alkohol

VIVID organisiert im Rahmen der 1. Österreichischen Dialogwoche Alkohol, einer Initiative um Menschen über die Risiken von Alkohol zu informieren, steiermarkweit über 45 Veranstaltungen und setzt diese zum Teil auch selbst um.

2017 – Weniger Alkohol – Mehr vom Leben

VIVID beteiligt sich mit verschiedenen Projekten an „Weniger Alkohol – Mehr vom Leben“, einer Initiative des Gesundheitsfonds Steiermark für einen verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit Alkohol.

2018 – Smoke Free Award

Mit dem ersten österreichischen Smoke Free Award zeichnet VIVID Menschen aus, die sich besonders für ein rauchfreies Leben engagieren. Der Award – die AERA – wird in sechs Kategorien vergeben.

2019 – Auszeichnung für Smoke Free Award

VIVID erhält für den Smoke Free Award gleich zwei Auszeichnungen – Platz 2 beim Deutschen Preis für Online Kommunikation in Berlin und den Polaris Award für politische Kommunikation in Athen.

2020 – World No Tobacco Day Award

VIVID wird von der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) für die jahrzehntelange Arbeit in der Tabakprävention und -kontrolle als erste österreichische Organisation mit dem „World No Tobacco Day Award“ ausgezeichnet.

2021 – Suizidprävention und NSSV

Das plus-Zusatzmodul zu Suizidprävention und nicht suizidalem selbstverletzendem Verhalten (NSSV) möchte Pädagog*innen für diese Themen sensibilisieren und ihnen ein Handwerkszeug bereitstellen.

2022 – Neues Programm für die Oberstufe

Das Programm „Wetterfest“ unterstützt Lehrpersonen ab der 9. Schulstufe, mit ihren Schüler*innen altersadäquate und interaktive Übungen zur Förderung der Lebenskompetenzen umzusetzen.

2022 – 25 Jahre VIVID

VIVID feiert 25-jähriges Bestehen! Durch langfristige und nachhaltige Maßnahmen hat sich die Fachstelle als kompetenter Ansprechpartner etabliert und auch international einen Namen gemacht.
