Helfen statt Strafen – Früherkennung und Krisenintervention an Schulen

Der § 13 Abs. 1 des Suchtmittelgesetzes (SMG) bezieht sich auf einen begründeten Verdacht, dass illegale Substanzen von Schüler*innen konsumiert werden. Das Seminar setzt dort an, wo es in Schulen Unsicherheit und Unklarheit gibt, wie mit möglichem Drogenkonsum oder Suchtgefährdung von Schüler*innen – basierend auf den gesetzlichen Grundlagen des Suchtmittelgesetzes – umgegangen werden soll und muss (Früherkennung, Gesprächsführung, Einbindung der Eltern, Sicherstellung von Beratung und Therapie).

Das Seminar wird von Expert*innen der Fachstelle für Suchtprävention in Kooperation mit der Drogenberatung des Landes Steiermark durchgeführt. Durch die Erarbeitung eines schulinternen Handlungsmodells in Anlehnung an den § 13 Suchtmittelgesetz „Helfen statt Strafen“ soll die Vorgehensweise im Anlassfall – vom Verdacht bis zur konkreten Hilfestellung – geregelt werden.

Der § 13 SMG („Helfen statt Strafen“) ermöglicht es, den Schulen gezielte Unterstützung zu bieten ohne zu strafen oder Anzeige zu erstatten.
