Suchtprävention ab dem Kindesalter

Moa ist ein Kind, das in einem Dorf lebt. In seinem Garten steht ein besonderer Baum: der Wunschbaum. Wer eines seiner bunten Blätter pflückt, bekommt einen Wunsch erfüllt. So wünscht sich Moa mit Hilfe des Wunschbaums eins nach dem anderen. So richtig glücklich wird er dabei aber nicht. Moa merkt: Alles, was er sich wünscht, erfüllt sich zwar, aber er bleibt trotzdem traurig.

Eines Tages sitzt Moa wieder einmal unter seinem Wunschbaum und überlegt, ob er sich das nächste Eis wünschen soll. Da entdeckt er am Zaun den Briefträger, der gerade sehr traurig ist. Denn sein Fahrrad ist kaputt. Moa wünscht sich vom Wunschbaum ein Fahrrad für den Briefträger und ist dadurch auch selbst ein bisschen weniger traurig. Es spricht sich herum, dass Moa beim Erfüllen von Wünschen hilft. Mit jedem Wunsch, den Moa erfüllen hilft, wird er selbst weniger traurig.

An Menschen aus fernen Ländern gibt Moa schließlich Blätter des Wunschbaums mit. Sie können Wurzeln schlagen und zu neuen Bäumen gepflanzt werden. Schließlich wachsen überall auf der Welt Wunschbäume. Denn Wünsche sollten überall auf der Welt in Erfüllung gehen. Was Moa sich selbst als letzten Wunsch wünscht, verrät „Moa und der Wunschbaum“.

Buch stärkt drei wesentliche Lebenskompetenzen

Das Buch hilft dabei, drei wesentliche Lebenskompetenzen zu stärken: Erstens kommt „Gefühlskompetenz“ in diesem Bilderbuch stark vor. Moa ist traurig. Er nimmt seine Gefühle wahr und ernst. Er ignoriert sie nicht. Das Wahrnehmen von Gefühlen ist die Voraussetzung von Gefühlskompetenz und Gefühlsregulation. So nimmt Moa wahr, dass es ihn nicht zufrieden macht, wenn er ausschließlich seine eigenen Wünsche erfüllt.

Durch die Unterstützung des Briefträgers bemerkt Moa, dass er mit seinem Wunschbaum viel mehr bewirken kann. Durch diesen Aspekt wird bei Kindern die Lebenskompetenz „Selbstwirksamkeit“ gestärkt: Moa merkt, er kann etwas bewirken, wenn er offene Wünsche und schließlich sogar Bäume verteilt.

Auch die Lebenskompetenz „Beziehungsfähigkeit“ wird durch dieses Bilderbuch gestärkt. Moa tritt in Beziehung und merkt, dass nicht materielle Dinge, sondern Begegnungen sein Herz füllen.

Das Buch ist in der Fachbibliothek von VIVID – Fachstelle für Suchtprävention erhältlich. Öffnungszeiten sind Montag bis Donnerstag von 9 bis 16 Uhr und Freitag von 9 bis 12 Uhr. Der Bibliothekskatalog kann auch online gesehen werden. Versand ist innerhalb der Steiermark möglich.

Die Bibliothek ist gut mit Fachbüchern, aber auch mit Bilderbüchern bestückt. Die Bilderbücher behandeln suchtpräventive Themen von Lebenskompetenzen, Nein-Sagen-Können, Selbstwert-Stärkung bis zu konkreten Themen wie Prävention von Essstörungen, Mediennutzung und Alkoholabhängigkeit in der Familie.
