Nikotinbeutel sind ein zunehmendes Problem. Das zeigt sich nicht nur, indem sie großflächig auf Plakaten und durch Influencer in sozialen Medien beworben werden, sondern auch im Ausmaß des Konsums.

Jugendflyer und Factsheet

Der Konsum rauchloser Nikotinprodukte steigt, wie die ESPAD-Befragungen an Schüler*innen aus den Jahren 2015 und 2020 bestätigen. Für die Steiermark zeigt der Bericht „Tabak- und Nikotinkonsum in der Steiermark“, dass der Konsum rauchloser Nikotinprodukte sowohl bei Schüler*innen als auch bei Erwachsenen zunimmt.

VIVID – Fachstelle für Suchtprävention reagiert auf diese Entwicklungen mit zwei eigenen Informationsmaterialien: einem Factsheet und einem Jugendflyer zu Nikotinbeuteln.

Das Factsheet beleuchtet Konsum, Risiko und Rechtslage dieser neuartigen, tabaklosen Nikotinprodukte. Es eignet sich für alle Fachpersonen sowie für Multiplikator*innen der Suchtprävention. So kann es Lehrer*innen, Eltern und allen, die mit jungen Menschen leben oder arbeiten, notwendige Hintergrundinformationen liefern. Ärzt*innen und andere Gesundheitsberufe finden im Factsheet die aktuellen Fakten zusammengefasst.

Der Jugendflyer „Nikotinbeutel“ richtet sich besonders an die Zielgruppe der Jugendlichen. Die Information ist fachspezifisch, aber auf das Wesentliche reduziert. So kann er auch für Erwachsene gut passen, die Probleme mit dem Lesen und Schreiben haben.

Nikotinbeutel sind in Österreich nicht in den entsprechenden Gesetzen erfasst. Daher dürfen sie beworben werden, unterliegen nicht der Produktregulierung, haben keine höhere Besteuerung und keinen ausdrücklichen Jugendschutz.
